The Governor has issued a Proclamation declaring July 22 “Sweet Grown Alabama Day.” We will host a press conference with Montgomery Mayor Steven Reed and Sweet Grown Alabama Board Members Commissioner Rick Pate, Horace Horn and Jimmy Parnell at 10:00 am on July 22 encouraging consumers to support local farmers. The press conference will take place on the front steps of the State Capitol Building, and market booths will be set up (six feet apart!) in the road on Bainbridge Street right in front of the Capitol (the block from Washington to Monroe will be closed to traffic).
