Please join us on Thursday, November 1 as the Alabama Cooperative Extension System presents its findings on the economic impact of damage from Hurricane Michael. The meeting will be at 1:00 at the Landmark Park activity barn. It’s located at 430 Landmark Drive, Dothan, Alabama. Local, county and state elected officials will be on hand to receive Extension’s official report.
In addition to a discussion of the direct agricultural damage, Extension will present an overview of the regional economic impact of the storm. This regional assessment will look at both direct and indirect impacts and their effects on the long-term health of the Wiregrass economy. We will also announce upcoming meetings to help farmers plan their next steps in the recovery process.
