2020 APRES Virtual Annual Meeting – Alabama Peanut Producers Association

WHEN: July 14-15, 2020

The 2020 APRES Annual Meeting will go Virtual. The APRES Board of Directors and Program Committee reached this very difficult decision after monitoring the impact of COVID-19 over the past two months and discussing its potential effect on the health and safety of our members, sponsors, attendees, speakers, exhibitors, and staff.

The 2020 Virtual Annual Meeting will be a combination of live webinars and recorded sessions of the almost full agenda of its live predecessor. The Production, Challenges, & Strategies themed General Session and a Symposium on Aflatoxin and Drought Tolerance live webinars are scheduled for July 14. The Joe Sugg Graduate Student Competition and Graduate Student Seminar live webinars will be held July 15. All other scientific presentations–research & education breakout sessions and posters– will be pre-recorded, hosted on the APRES youtube channel, and available for viewing at your leisure on July 14th. Year-end awards will be announced July 16th and a recognition ceremony will be held at the 2021 Annual Meeting.
