  The Peanut Team 2004

Members of the 2004 Peanut Team proudly participated in this year's March of Dimes WalkAmerica event held April 17th at Eastgate Park in Dothan. This year marked the third consecutive year for the Peanut Team to participate.

The team raised more than $2,700 for healthier babies, marking this the highest goal ever made by the team. Making up this year's peanut team were representatives from the Alabama Peanut Producers Association, Golden Peanut Company and the National Peanut Festival Association.



Walking For Healthy Babies Like Me!
Seventeen-month old Noah Griggs proudly models a 2004 Peanut Team t-shirt as he encouraged his relatives and friends to participate in this year’s Walk America in Dothan, Alabama at Eastgate Park held on Saturday, April 17th. Alabama Peanut Producers Association and the March of Dimes have a great partnership due to the continued support and education of peanuts, which contain folate (folic acid), and

their health benefits. The year’s t-shirt theme was : “Peanut Team and March of Dimes - Saving Babies Together... Timing is Everything! Both Peanuts and Babies Need: Good Nutrition and A Proper Growing Season!” Noah is the grandson of Randy and Connie Griggs of Dothan. He served as the Peanut Team’s baby ambassador for this year.
