Producers send their regards to Haiti
The peanut industry recently joined together to provide relief to the families in Haiti. Together the industry has already collected more than $300,000 in peanut butter donations.
Six truckloads have been shipped so far. The peanut butter is being delivered to families in Haiti through Operation Blessing, Catholic Relief Services and Food for the Poor. During the recent Alabama-Florida Peanut Trade Show in Dothan, Ala. peanut growers proudly signed words of encouragement on peanut boxes that will be shipped to Haiti.
